¡PLENEALO! was born 14 years ago in the middle of Puerto Rico island, in a town surrounded by mountains, called Aibonito, with the idea of revive and maintain the puertorican culture through a rhythm called “plena”. At the moment, are the most outstanding musical group of PLENA in Puerto Rico due to the effort, dedication, fraternal unity and many working hours.

Directed by Ivan Rivera, they charge the public with a special energy that has characterized this rhythm since its beginning in the 19th century.

In the beginning of this new century, world music influences the group enriching the “plena”, with a new vision; the fusion of different imported rhythms, like Brazilian batucada and other Afro-Antillean rhythms that make an authentic style.
